NORA organised West Nordic Day activities together with the Nordic House in Tórshavn and the Faroese Culture Ministry. The focus of the activities was security of supply and of food, and began with presentations by the Faroese agricultural station and a chef about the current situation in the Faroe Islands, and what is being done to secure supplies of food. After the presentations, participants were served a meal prepared from ingredients that would be available in a situation in which the Faroe Islands had been cutoff from the outside world for 60 days. In addition to only consisting of local food, the meal had to be prepared without using heat, as oil and electricity would be scarce in such a situation. The activities made a considerable impression on the participants.
